Fashion Revolution Week 2020
We have always worked to bring the worlds of our makers and customers closer together. This Fashion Revolution Week meet the incredible team who made your jeans and learn how your jeans were made.
We don't have all the answers, so what is important to us is to not simply post a tile on our social media platforms and move on. We want to take this moment and ensure that the learnings are not forgotten by embedding them in our work.
In designing our latest denim offering, adding an authentic vintage-inspired rigid jean was a must. The challenge was that conventionally, vintage-wash denim jeans require intensive washing using processes that have devastating effects on the environment. We were not willing to compromise our values to achieve the look we were hoping for.
Although the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 has caused so much devastation and disruption across the world, I remain hopeful. We have all witnessed so many community minded moments of generosity and compassion. Our thoughts are with those who are suffering, and I want to acknowledge all those who are working tirelessly to slow the spread of the virus and those who are putting themselves in harm's way to care for those affected. Thank you!
"In 2008 I went to the cinema with my wife to see the film Taken, a fictional film inspired by the very real $150 billion illicit trade of human beings. It was my first introduction to the world of human trafficking and I was driven to learn more." - James Bartle, Founding CEO
